And also
Double Stuff Oreos rock.
So do Whopper Jrs.
My eye is twitching.
U2 is less than two months away.
I suck at gambling. Unless the other theme-park storyteller is at the table and he decides he wants to play BlackJack.
I miss my old job. They catered lunch. Every day. And had a steam room.
My eye just stopped twitching. Nope, there is goes again.
I like pepperoni.

What do you mean, "U2 is less than two months away" ???
Oh, and now my eye started twitching too...
I'M GOING TO SEE U2!!
PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE KIDDING!!!!
nope. not kidding. floor seats. I'M GOING TO SEE U2!
Now my eye is twitching again.
Mine too... But I'm soo not jealous! At all! I don't care that all other bloggers out there are going to see these really cool, huge bands. Well, maybe a little... *major eye twitch*
Have a wonderful time, in case I forget to tell you later!
Oh, you won't forget. I won't let anyone forget, especially as it gets closer!
This is one of the biggest bands I'll ever see. I saw pearl jam a few years ago, and that was the experience of a lifetime. U2 though...I can NOT wait!
YOU'VE SEEN PEARL JAM??
yep. AWESOME!
that's all I can even say about that. just. awesome!
Well, I've seen Metallica! So there (as if you care, haha!)
another band on my wish list...
Really? Then I can tell you I've seen them TWICE! :) Once on the floor, really close to the stage. It was amazing!
As Napoleon Dynamite would say, "LUCKY!"
I have a guitar and drumstick from when I saw Live in concert...
Who's Napoleon Dynamite?
A guitar??
I have a signed Nightwish guitar pick (and three signed CD's), and two unsigned. I have a signed Carburators guitar pick (but the Carburators suck!). I have a drumstick from a concert by... No wait, let's sooo not go there!
Napoleon Dynamite = funniest, most pointless movie you'll ever see.
I have a guitar PICK. My fault. Typed way too fast there. Oopsy!
I have a signed...um...I have football cards....
Lol, I kinda got it anyway. That's why I didn't go all crazy with my "soo not jealous"s ;p
Do you realize how many comments you have on this post?? And they're all by us! :) Wanna see how many we can cram into one little post?
"Wanna see how many we can cram into one little post?"
"Huge waterfall ahead? Sharp rocks at the bottom?"
Bring it on.
Ehh, suddenly I couldn't really come up with anything to say...
So, which other bands have you seen live?
I suddenly can't remember. Maybe it's because of the fog I'm under today...!
Let's see (you can totally make fun of me, I give you permission)...
Hootie and the Blowfish
Counting Crows
Wallflowers
Aerosmith (twice, awesome!)
Barenaked Ladies
98 Degree (ugh..., does that even count as a band?)
Bob Dylan
Blues Traveler
Goo Goo Dolls
Lenny Kravitz
Jewel
There are totally more but I can't remember them at all right now...
Goo Goo Dolls??? "Iris" is one of my favourite songs!!
And Bob Dylan, that's awesome!
Nope, sorry! 98 Degrees does NOT count as a band!
Neither does The Rasmus (hardly, anyway), whom I have in fact seen twice...
If you wanna keep going with bands that don't count, I can...
I once went to a whole festival of bands that don't count! It was a Nickelodeon festival, and we took my little sister, who was 10 at the time...(yes, that's my excuse)!
Oh wait! That reminds me, I went to see HORDE festival once, I saw Blues Traveler there too. I can't remember any other bands though...I think Marcy Playground (of "Sex and Candy" fame), Barenaked Ladies, Ben Harper, Paula Cole (Dawson's Creek's "I Don't Wanna Wait...")
There were a bunch more there too...
Oh, and I've seen the Goos a few times. They're a local band actually, and the lead singer was friends with one of my dad's buddies in college, so I actually got to meet the band too...
I just remembered I saw/met Drowning Pool too.
Lucky, right?
Lucky! I mean, the Goo Goo Dolls thing! I've never heard of Drowning Pool, I think...
I saw Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode) once at a festival... That's pretty cool! :) And I've seen Iron Maiden, but I'm not a fan...
What else?? Metallica, Nightwish (sob!!), Entwine, Godsmack, Kaizers Orchestra (Norwegian band), Arch Enemy... There's gotta be more!!!
Ehh, Jarboe obviously!! NIC (which is short for something fancy...), Alanis Morisette, Mötley Crue...
Hey, this is the 26th comment! That's kinda cool! ;)
Comment number 27! Why? I don't know...because it's almost 11 at night and I can't think of anything to say...
I just found a blog by Pete Townshend (from The Who. Yes, really!!), and one of his posts had more than 250 comments... Long ways to go yet, my friend!
That's not fair!
He's famouser than me, Lumpy and Hipp!
Not for long though, if all goes according to plan...soon, you'll be asking, "Sawyer who???"
Looking forward to it! =)
Let me know how that`s going, will ya?
Oh, and I saw the first and second episode of Lost season 2 yesterday! I remembered while writing the other comment, but I thought different subjects should have different comments.
And also I did it for the sake of making another comment to fill it up.
250... That`s a lot!
It was good stuff, right? Episode 2 is even better, they just re-ran that one the other night.
The fame things also took a big hit today.
Don't ask.
Long story involving a baseball bat, a clown, two golf clubs and a Whopper Jr. with no pickles.
And you ask me not to ask??
Tell me, tell me!!
I don't know if I can do that...I might be able to after the ringing in my ears stops!
I mean, A CLOWN??? Nothing involving a clown can be good...
This might sound stupid, but clowns scare the bejesus outta me...
That's not stupid! If you'd read my whole blog, you'd know I have recurring nightmares about them! There's nothing scarier! Not even snakes! Where I work, there's a clown walking up and down the street each summer, giving balloons to kids. It freaks me out!
Things that freak the crap out of me:
1. Birds. Can't stand 'em.
2. Snakes. That's just not right. THEY HAVE NO LEGS AND CAN MOVE!
3. Clowns. Creepy.
Birds aren't bad, but then again I've never seen the movie...
Snakes though! *shuddering*
I got the Lost-DVDs yesterday, but don't have the time to watch them until Tuesday! Torture!
I'm still smiling though! :) I can't stop! :) I've been smiling constantly since Tuesday night! :) My cheeks hurt and my eyes are wrinkly! :)
Lucky!
Just don't run into any snakes! Yuck!
How are you not tempted to put in those DVDS??
The fact that if I'm a good girl and pass the exams and assignments this semester, I'll have a BA in psychology by X-mas, and the fact that I have two of those assignments right now, kinda prevents me from watching the DVDs.
Still smiling, but a little more forced now... I'm so dying to have an all-night Lost-marathon!!!
Woah. That's a lot of stuff...I have spent the whole week moving. And trying to unpack. Not fun either.
And I just got Batman! I want a Batman Begins marathon!
Hey, why don't you come on over, and we'll have a Lost- and Batman-marathon this weekend!? :)
I dunno...after reading what you wrote on your own page this morning, I don't know if I can keep a safe enough distance from ANY woman....
Did I scare ya? More than birds and snakes and clowns?
I have a tip for you if you're so unlucky as to get close to a woman with PMS issues: Throw her a bar of chocolate and run while she eats it!
You terrified me beyond all reasonable thought!
Instead of a cross, I shall now carry chocolate. Maybe a chocolate cross. It'll ward off female vampires having pms.
All female vampires are lesbians anyway...
(did you get it?)
Eww, I can't believe I just wrote that!! You have my permission to delete it if you like!
yes, I got that, and really, I'm usually pretty good at holding it in, but I really did say "EW!" out loud when I read that!
I'm not going to eat for the rest of the day now. OK I will. You know me, I can't not eat.
We are now also over 50.
Comments, that is.
I do appologize! Ehh, is that spelled the right way? Wait, what am I asking YOU for...? Gee, sorry! I have a mean sense of humor when I'm bored!
Uhm, yeah... "Ewww" a million times! And "sorry" a million times more...
Over fifty comments, that's kinda neat! We're doing a good job here :) What was the point of this again...?
I'm not sure there really is a point, other than coming to this post just to see if we're still going with more comments. I wonder if anyone else is reading this?
If they are, I bet they still aren't, after the vampire yuckness!
Oh, and I think it's "apologize". Maybe.
I am hungry!!
Yeah, I wonder... They'd think we're crazy though!
I'm not hungry. I had a really hard time dipping my fries in ketchup yesterday, so I guess I won't be eating at BK for a while.
How did you have a hard time dipping your fries? Were you wearing the ketchup after the meal? I do that everytime I eat something red! This is why I don't eat ketchup with my fries. I eat Mayo.
Nope, I just simply could not for the life of me eat it. I won't explain. It's icky, and deep down you know why.
Hey, not much has happened on your blog recently... What's gonna make me laugh on sucky days like this one??
Oh, and "DUH!!"
Sorry, I'm now having a sucky day too, and also have nothing to make me laugh. So I'm choosing not to post a new entry, because I don't want someone to read it who might make my day even worse!
Wow, that sounds bad... Wanna talk it over? I'm sure nobody else read these comments by now.
Yeah, I'm sure you're right! Here's the deal. On Halloween, I moved in with a new roommate. We decided to split the bills and groceries, 50-50, which is more than fair. The cable/internet bill was past due, and in danger of getting shut off. I like TV (duh, and internet) so I paid it. Then my payment on my boat was due. So I paid that (that's my own, we don't split that!). Then we needed food. So I bought that. Then we needed food again, so I bought that. Then rent was due. All told, including lunch at work, I've spent way over $900 in 14 days. I have $30. I'm looking at the checkbook right now! $30! But our heating bill is due now, and that's $300! And I need to pay it because my roommate is going to Florida for a week. This is all I've heard for the last month, "I don't have enough money to go to Florida..."
And then, this morning, as I'm getting out of my car in a suit and tie (I had to dress up for work today) in the pouring rain, with a cold (again!), my roommate calls and says that the heat needs to be paid now because it'll get shut off.
In one week, I'm going dying of bird flu on a street corner in the snow. With no food.
In one week, my roommate will be returning from Florida with a tan.
On top of that, I have to go to a big-time meeting today concerning my first really big proposal at work, and there's at least one person who doesn't like it. And then I have another huge meeting later that's about the merge of two organizations that do NOT see eye-to-eye.
It's been a long week.
What's that? It's only Tuesday you say?
OK I'm on a roll...
PLUS, the only person who actually wants to listen to me complain is living inside my computer, and I need to yell about something, and I can't so I'm just pounding on the keyboard as hard as I can!
Oh wow....! I'm so sorry I couldn't answer yesterday!!! Damn, that sounds bad! :(
I wish I could do something, ANYthing!!!
Don't be sorry, you have nothing to be sorry about!
Just to wrap up how the rest of my day went, I got my butt kicked in in those two meetings I had to go to, and in the second one, I was also embarassed and let down by someone I thought I could count on.
Then I didn't sleep much last night and ended up coming in to work at like 6 this morning. And today seems like more of the same.
Thanks for the sympathy and such. I wish there was something you could do, but I'm not sure what that could be....how about if you go have a GOOD day to make up for this lousy week I'm having?
I'm sorry (I can't stop saying that) that the meetings didn't turn out so good either!
I don't even know what to say! I just hope everything will turn out ok! Remember you're gonna see U2 whenever that is, and Lost tonight! ;) I know it doesn't help on the financial situation, but at least it'll take your mind off things for a little while...
Think peanut butter, candy bars, Claire... Dude, I'm a psychology student and this is all I come up with! How about an imagined hug then?
Imagined hugs are good.
And I'm going to see U2! Which day is that on again? I need to start a countdown...December 9th.
23 days or
1,987,200 seconds or
33,120 minutes or
552 hours or
3 weeks!
And I'll think about candy bars. And pepperoni. But not peanut butter, ok? I'm not a big peanut butter fan.
552 hours doesn't sound that long! And you'll be sleeping half the time anyway ;)
Oh, I'm a huuuge peanut butter fan, but pepperoni's even better. I want pizza...
One major imagined cuddle is hereby sent your way, along with a big wave of symapthy!
Sleeping half the time! Good call! And I'll be eating a good chunk of that time too! Thanksgiving is coming up next week....time for quint to become a fatty!
oh, and thanks for the imaginary hug...thing...you rock!
Your welcome! And you rock too! ;)
Oh, I wish we had some Thanksgving-kind of thing over here too... I want an excuse to eat a bunch of turkey! We only have that on New Year's Eve at my place.
You're missing out!
If I was on death row, and I had to choose my last meal, I would choose....Christmas dinner...but my second choice would be Thanksgiving!
Oh yeah, Christmas dinner! Totally! We eat pork ribs (we learned in high school that this was the English word for it, but I'm not sure), some sort of meat balls and sausages.
God, I'm soooo hungry right now!
Yeah, it's ribs, you got it!
On Christmas, we've got everything - Roast beef, turkey, pizza dip, taco dip, mashed and scalloped potatoes, stuffing, chicken wings, chicken wing dip, ribs, subs, sandwiches, stromboli...and that's just Christmas Eve! Then, it continues Christmas morning with breakfast and dinner later! So yum...
And what are you still doing awake? Isn't it way later there?
It's way earlier, if anything... It's seven thirty. Two hours and ten minutes left to Lost!
Oh, my poor hungry stomach! That sounds so gooood!
Go eat! And watch Lost! I'm having a tailgate party for myself for my Lostday!
Aaaaargh! I just found out I failed the exam for the second time. The BA is another year delayed, and I've lied to my parents and told them I'd passed the exam and was only taking it again to improve the result. I dunno what to tell them now!
Anyway, how's it going with you? Hope you're doing better!
I'm ok I think. This bad bad week is finally almost over, and I have tickets to see Harry Potter tonight, and that's a very good way to end the week!
Ooh, jealous!!!! But I'm really glad to hear you're doing better! :)
I'm not going to get too excited, but this week is a short week!!! I have Thursday and Friday off! Thanksgiving! So not only do I have the days off, but they are days specifically set aside so we can EAT!
Wow! Happy way-too-early Thanksgiving (just so I won't forget it)
Ah, you won't forget, I'm sure. I mean, look at you, remembering at least once a day to check this one little post with lots and lots of comments!
Aren't you supposed to be typing a paper or something right now???!
Shhh, you're ruining it!
I figured that if I just ignored the paper thing long enough, it'd go away!
It won't just go away! It's like a bad hangnail...it just is there, on your finger, smarting every single time you bump it, no matter how many band-aids you put on it...
Ouch! Ouch, OUCH!
Ok, I see: You're just trying to get rid of me, aren't you? If I mastered the art of rising one eye brow suspiciously, I would.
Alright then, I'll go do the paper thing... But NOT because you said so!!
*feeling my authority issues flaming up*
I have mastered the art of raising one eyebrow suspiciously, and I am doing that right now, wondering if you are actually doing the paper or reading my comments....busted!!
I have also mastered the art of curling one lip up, like Elvis. But I'm not doing that right now...
*slowly backing out of the comments section, whistling innocently*
I was never here! Really!
That's funny!
I am outta here...finish that paper! And do good...or well...or a decent job, or whatever, on it!
*sulking*
No sulking allowed! You're smart, you did awesome!
*happier*
Now there's the way to be!
Also, U2 is less than two weeks away now!!
Ooh, that's where we started the comments! Awesomely cool, that. You have to tell me everything! :)
No need to worry, my friend! You saw my review of Harry Potter, I'm sure the U2 review will be just as detailed!
I hope you're feeling better, too. You got that assignment out of the way, and I bet you did so awesome!
On another note, I'm getting ready to move *again*!! This time, my office! Oy, enough with the moving the poodles already!
A better office? A bigger office? A corner office? An office with a view? A better and bigger corner office with a view?
Or just another office?
I want an office... With four walls and a door. And a computer, and a plant in a corner. And a secretary!
Let's go with....all of the above!
Right now, I'm in an office with no window. At all. Not even in the door. When you walk in, the first thing you see is our dirty dishes. And the fridge. Not very professional.
The new office is in a whole new building. With LOTS of windows! And I'm getting the biggest office in the place - right next to the back porch, where I plan on putting a small grill for those nice summer afternoons!
Maybe now that I have a window I can have a plant in the corner. I do have an assistant though. But when wishing for an assistant, keep this in mind: wish for an assistant who does a good job. There's nothing worse than an assistant who hates assisting.
Wow, good on ya, mate! (I should stop watching Australian tv-shows)
Congrats on the new, amazing-sounding office! :)
Whoa!!!!!
I just wrote comment no. 100! How awesome is that??
We're getting close!
I was going to try and sneak in and write comment 100 before you, but I got caught up at your site...an hour later, I get to write comment 101!!
Dang it! I need to pay closer attention! You snuck in and got comment 101 too! At least I get 102 and 103...
Good on ya, mate!
What was our goal again? 150? or 250? either way, we're close....
250, mate! Still this and some more to go, but we'll manage that, won't we?
I'll let you write comment no.200, then. Just from the goodness of my broken heart.
This and more...whew!
No broken hearts, not today! The world needs less of those. You 'specially.
You're just too sweet! :)
No wait, no one can ever be 'too sweet'! Which means that you're just the perfect amount of sweet :) And that's a complement (sp?)!
On a different note: HOW COULD THEY KILL SHANNON???
Now you are gonna have to wait to weeks to really not like Ana-Lucia. Next week's show is pretty intense though.
I'm sweet? Like sugary-sweet of chocolatey-sweet? Thanks babe!
I think you spelled it right too...
I already don't like Ana-Lucia! :(
She's a meanie! Killing people like that! And wasting the one bullet they had, too! And she doesn't care about Sawyer!
And yes, you're chocolatey-sweet!
Nice! I like chocolatey-sweet!
And oh, there might be a few more bullets available...you'll have to wait and see if there are. We had a Kate-show the other night. It was good. It had a lot of Saywer in it, so I know you'll like it.
In fact, he had his shirt off in most of the show, so I know you'll really like it.
ONE WEEK TILL U2!!
Holy moley!!! Sawyer... with... *too much drool to go on*
I can't wait! :)
Wow, only one week! I'm a music dork, and I'm extremely happy for you! :)
I'm kind of a misic dork too, but I have ALWAYS wanted to see U2...just think....exactly one week from RIGHTNOW I'll be driving to the hotel to get ready for it!
Did I tell you that U2 came to Oslo this summer? I didn't get tickets, and neither did "he". We were both working that day, so we tried to come up with ways to make it rain cats and dogs in the evening (the concert was outdoors). Our prayers, chanting, cursing and spell-casting didn't work. Thus ended my days as a wicca...
I'd like to go somewhere near Europe once in my life...just, you know, breathe the air or something...you're so lucky!
You should!
And I wanna see New York. Weird how you always want to go other places than exactly where you are...
It's so cool to talk to Americans and go "I'm European", and they have all these predjudiced (sp?) views on how I must be like! Awesome! ;p
Well, many americans might have a predjudiced (?) view of how europens must be like, but I know how you are: smart, funny, intelligent, witty, talented, artistic...
I've been to NYC. It IS all it's cracked up to be. Funnest city I've ever been in. I actually lived just outside the City for a couple years. If you ever get there, go to the Bethesda Fountain. It's the prettiest spot in NY. You've probably seen it before; it's in lots of movies. Alas, the only one I can think of is "Hitch" with Will Smith. He walks past the Bethesda Fountain when he's all hopped up on Benadryl after his allergy attack.
Oh, also, U2 in just over 24 hrs!!!
Hey, you're making me blush!!! But go on... ;)
Wow, I'm literally almost jumping in my chair. I'm about to read the Pre-U2-post now, I just had to check this place first. I'm so excited for you!!!
By the way:
I haven't seen that one (I seriously dislike Will Smith), but I remember there being some fountain-thingies in some NYC-movies I've seen. I always notice fountains, graves and statues... Is it old? Could it be that I saw it in "Breakfast at Tiffany's"? I think there's a fountain there.
I think it was in Breakfast at Tiffany's! It really is the prettiest place in the whole city. It's amazing that in this huge concrete jungle (and that's really what it is!) there can be a spot so calm, so peaceful. Like you're on another planet.
And I'm not trying to make you blush. I'm just being honest, and hoping you'll believe in what I know is true!
Oh yeah, I'm sooooo intelligent! I just probably failed the second exam of the semester. In that one subject I'm supposed to be good at...
Anyway: It sounds like the one I saw in Breakfast at Tiffany's then. It seemed like a beautiful place indeed! Although it might be different there now, since the movie wasn't exactly made yesterday...
*chanting*
Concert report!!!!!!
Concert report!!!!!!
Concert report!!!!!!
Concert report!!!!!!
Concert report!!!!!!
Concert report!!!!!!
;)
best experience of my LIFE!!!!!
I'll have a full report, but it's long, and it might have to wait until Wednesday, because I'm out of the office a good chunk of tomorrow.....
But I can tell you one thing: I got Bono's guitar pick!!
If I give you my adress, you'll send it to me, right?? ;p
Wow! My last few days have sucked majorly, but this actually kind of makes up for it! :) I'm really happy for you, and I'm smiling like crazy just imagining what it must have been like!! :)
Um, probably not. But I might take a picture of it and post it so you can see that. I know your last couple a days have blown, and I'm sorry. I'm glad this might have helped a little!! It'll get better, you know that. And whatever, I'll be here, and you know that too.
Yes, do that! I wanna see it! :)
Thank you for cheering me up. You always make me laugh, or at least smile, even when my world falls apart (as it has done a lot lately).
It seems that your world hasn't been falling apart, but it's good to be reading stuff from you again...then again, I have posted nothing in over a month. I don't think anything has happened to me in over a month either though...
You're baaaaack!!! :)
My back?! What's on my back?! I can't see it! Get it off!
OK. I'm in a weird mood today.
Oh, funny! Would've been even funnier if I hadn't been grammatically correct... ;)
yeah, I know. I've been gone a while. Long time. Yep. Two months. I can hear it now!
But I'm back. Maybe not every day. But I'm here.
And it all will turn out all right.
It has to.
